Them Vibes play a wonderful mix of contemporary pop, funk and rock. When I listen to the band, I immediately get reminiscences to Sly and the Family Stone and the whole funk scene from the 70s and 80s but also groups such as Crosby, Stills and Nash and Black Crowes sneak up on my music radar. But do me a favor and listen to the below video Right On, where they are supported by Maggie Rose, and I think you’ll get my drift.
Them Vibes come from Nashville like so many other groups and solo acts after having moved down there from New York City. The group consist primarily of lead vocalist with the beautiful name Brother Love, guitarists Alex Haddad and Kyle Lewis and a rhythm section which surely know how to lay down the groove.
The band have been supporting act for such groups as Lynyrd Skynyrd and Cheap Trick. Besides that, their music has been used in several series. Unfortunately, I have to admit I have only had the pleasure of listening to the band, but what I have read about the band their live act should be nothing short of fantastic. So, who knows I might be lucky some day and they will come to our shores? I do hope so. I’ve put in three videos of Them Vibes as appetizers. Dance on.
