Danielle Nicole is a recognized blues singer and bass player from Kansas City. She was originally a member of the blues band Trampled Under Foot with her two brothers. Going solo Danielle Nicole put out her first album Wolf Den in 2015 which reached an impressive no 2 on Billboard’s Blues Albums chart. Her second studio album Cry No More from 2018 sold even better and reached no 1 on Billboard’s Blues Albums chart. Furthermore, the album was also nominated for a Grammy award in the
Contemporary Blues category.
Danielle Nicole is a diverse blues musician and singer. Sometimes she plays the blues in a nice soulish and laid-back manner and at other times she plays a mean and fierce blues. Occasionally, I think of
Bonnie Raitt and Susan Tedeschi when I listen to her. But take a listen and
judge for yourself.
