BlackJack Billy are being called the Rolling Stones of Country. That might be a tad too much, but anyway the group are also energetic and rocking in many of their songs. The group come from Nashville and were formed in 2011. BJB consist of four members who have all previously worked in country music either as solo artists, songwriters or as musicians in different constellations.
In 2013 BJB got their breakthrough with the single The Booze Cruise on Itunes. They didn’t even have a record contract at the time, but they got one pretty quickly. Subsequently, the number went platin in Canada, went to no 1 in Australia and finally the Booze Cruise was also the bestselling number by an independent artist on Itunes in 2013.
The videos that I have posted show the group’s ability to write and play catchy and energetic country which is what I like. I hope you do too. Enjoy.
